Terms of Service
Last updated: October 6, 2026
Please read this part. Mandemic helps you find people and plans; the meetups themselves happen in the real world, between members. We do not run background checks or verify identities, and you are responsible for your own safety and conduct. Mandemic never holds or moves money between members. Keep it platonic. There is no tolerance for abuse.
These Terms govern your use of the Mandemic app ("the App"), provided by Golden Home Project, LLC ("we," "us," "our"). The App is currently in a beta on iPhone through Apple's TestFlight. By creating an account or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
1. What Mandemic is
Mandemic is a free, platonic app for guys to find people nearby and plans for real-world activities, get matched into small crews, and split the cost of activities among themselves. It is not a dating or hookup service, and it is not social media.
- Suggested plans are only suggestions. Mandemic may suggest plans to you and your crew. We don't book venues, and we don't check or vouch for any place.
- Crews are formed automatically, by matching guys nearby. There is no guarantee that you will be matched into a crew, or that a crew will suit you.
2. Who can join
- You must be at least 18 and legally able to agree to these Terms. You must be 21 or older to join or post a plan centered on alcohol. Because we only ask for your birth year, the App opens these plans to you from January 1 of the year after you turn 21.
- Mandemic is for men: anyone who identifies as a man is welcome, regardless of sexual orientation.
- One account per person, tied to an email address or Apple account you control.
- You may not join if we have previously banned you, or if you are required to register as a sex offender anywhere.
3. Your account
Give accurate information about yourself and keep it current. You are responsible for activity on your account; keep your phone secure, and tell us right away if you think someone else has accessed your account.
4. Community rules
You agree not to:
- Use Mandemic to pursue romantic or sexual contact.
- Harass, threaten, intimidate or demean anyone, on or off the App.
- Insult, demean or target anyone because of race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability or sexual orientation.
- Sell, promote or recruit (including multi-level marketing), spam, or collect other members' information.
- Create fake accounts, use bots or automation, or impersonate anyone.
- Share another person's private information, such as their address or phone number, without their permission.
- Post slurs or hateful language. A filter blocks some words, but you are responsible for everything you post.
- Falsely record attendance or payment, for example checking in to a meetup you aren't at, or marking someone paid or unpaid when that isn't true.
- Bring kids or partners to a plan marked "Guys only."
- Use the App for anything illegal.
There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive members. Content that breaks these rules is removed and its author may be banned.
5. Meeting in person
Meetups happen in the real world, outside our control, and you take part at your own risk. We do not run background checks, and we do not currently verify identities. Meet new people in a group, at a public place, first. You are responsible for your own conduct, for your own safety, and for any children or family you bring to a "Bring your kids" or "Family & partners welcome" plan. Activities like sports, hiking and travel carry physical risks; take part only in what you are able to do safely.
Skill levels in the App are self-rated and not verified by anyone. A plan's level range is a guide, not a promise about who will show up. Take part only at a level you can handle safely.
If you are ever in danger, contact emergency services first, then report it to us.
6. Your reliability score
Your reliability score reflects whether you attend the plans you join and pay your share of shared costs. It is calculated from check-ins, cancellations and payment marks as described on our Support page. It is a measure of reliability inside the App, not a judgment of your character. We may change how it is calculated, correct errors, and resolve disputes; where there is no proof either way, a disputed event does not change anyone's score.
7. Money between members
When a plan costs money, the organizer sets a per-person cost, and the App links to third-party payment apps such as Venmo, Cash App and PayPal so members can pay him. Those payments are made directly between members under those companies' own terms. We are not a party to them, we never hold or transfer funds, and we are not responsible for unpaid shares, refunds, venue charges or cancellations. Late or missing payments can lower a member's reliability score. Plans suggested by Mandemic with no organizer have no cost in the App; anything the spot charges is between the members who go. Venues and ticket sellers set their own terms.
8. Your content
You own what you post: your profile, plans and messages. You give us a limited licence to store, display and transmit it as needed to operate the App for the people you share it with. You are responsible for what you post, and you must have the right to post it. We may remove content that breaks these Terms.
9. Reports, suspension and termination
Members can report someone from a chat message or from a plan, and block anyone. Reports are reviewed by a person. We review reports within 24 hours. Depending on what happened, we may warn you, remove your content, or suspend or ban your account. A suspension stops you signing in, calls off your upcoming plans, takes you off upcoming plans you joined, and removes you from your crews. Romantic or sexual solicitation, harassment, threats, hateful content, and selling or recruiting lead to an immediate ban. Smaller problems follow a three-strikes approach: the first strike is a warning, the second suspends your account for 7 days, and the third closes it. Strikes count for 12 months, you're told the reason for each one, and you can see them on the You tab. You can delete your account at any time in the App.
10. Other services
The App links to or uses services we don't control, including payment apps, calendar services, venues and ticket sellers. Their terms and privacy policies apply to your use of them, and we are not responsible for them.
11. App stores
If you got the App from Apple (through the App Store or TestFlight) or from Google Play, these Terms are between you and Golden Home Project, LLC, not Apple or Google, and we, not they, are responsible for the App. Apple and Google have no obligation to provide support for it. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
12. Disclaimer of warranties
The App is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted or error-free, that matches or plans will suit you, or that any member is who they say they are or will behave well.
13. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Golden Home Project, LLC and its members are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any injury, loss or harm arising from meetups, activities, travel, or the conduct of any member, on or off the App. Our total liability for any claim relating to the App will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us (if any) or fifty US dollars.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
14. Indemnity
You agree to cover our reasonable losses and costs from claims made by others that arise from your breaking these Terms or from your conduct with other members.
15. Changes to the App and these Terms
We may update the App and these Terms. The date at the top reflects the current version, which is always published here. Continuing to use the App after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
16. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Kentucky, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Nothing here limits any right you have under consumer-protection law that cannot be waived.
