b2gaudio@gmail.comScanning cards
How do I scan a card?
Tap Scan a Card and point the camera at the small collector number printed near the bottom corner of the card — it looks like 4/102. Hold steady in good light. Digital Decks reads that number and finds the matching card.
It scanned the wrong card
Tap "Not this card? Go back & scan again" at the bottom of the card screen, or Scan Again in the banner. Many cards share a number across different sets, so if the wrong one appears, try searching by name instead and pick the correct set from the results.
It won't recognise my card
- Make sure the collector number is in frame, right-side up, and in focus.
- Reduce glare — foil and holo cards reflect light and confuse text recognition. Tilt the card slightly.
- Very old cards, promos, and cards with letter-based numbers (like TG12/TG30) may not have a readable number. Use search by name instead.
- Scanning needs a real iPhone or iPad camera; it does not work in the iOS Simulator.
Why does it need camera permission?
Only to read the number on the card. Text recognition happens entirely on your device, no photo is ever saved, and nothing from your camera is ever uploaded. See the Privacy Policy.
Players and profiles
Can two kids share one device?
Yes — that is exactly what profiles are for. Each player gets their own separate collection and their own decks. Tap the name badge at the top of any screen to switch players, or to add a new one.
Can one player see or change another's cards?
No. Each player's collection is completely separate. Switching players changes everything you see — library, decks and totals.
I deleted a player by mistake
Deleting a player also deletes their cards and decks, and this cannot be undone. That is why the App asks you to confirm and tells you how many cards will be removed. Unfortunately we cannot recover them, because nothing is stored outside your device.
Your collection
How do I add a card I own?
Scan or search for it, then tap Add to My Library. Tapping again adds another copy.
How do I change how many copies I have?
Open the Library tab and tap the card. Use the big + and − buttons to change the count.
How do I remove a card?
Tap the card in your Library, then Remove from library and confirm.
Can I filter my collection?
Yes. In the Library tab, use the chips to show only Pokémon, Trainers, Energy, or a single type, and the Set and Rarity menus for more. Tap Clear to see everything again.
Decks
How does deck building work?
Go to the Decks tab, pick one or two types, then tap Build. Digital Decks assembles the best deck it can using only cards you actually own, gives it a star rating, and suggests what would improve it.
Why is my deck fewer than 60 cards?
Because you do not own enough cards yet. Digital Decks will never invent a card you do not have. The "Make It Better" list tells you exactly what to look for.
Are these decks tournament legal?
Treat them as a learning aid, not a rules authority. Digital Decks follows common deck-building conventions but does not track official format rotations. Always check current official rules before organised play.
Prices
How accurate are the prices?
They are rough estimates only. Ungraded prices come from a market data feed for that printing. Graded (PSA 10 / CGC 10) figures reflect what sellers are currently asking in public listings, which is usually well above what cards actually sell for. Prices ignore condition, centring and authenticity.
Never use Digital Decks to decide what to pay for, sell, or insure a card. See Section 10 of the Terms of Service.
Why do some cards show no graded price?
Either no clean matching listings were found, or graded pricing has not been enabled in your version of the App. The ungraded price still works.
Reading aloud
My child can't read yet — can the app read to them?
Yes. Tap the speaker button next to a card's rarity or next to the deck Coach Tips and Digital Decks will read it aloud. Tap again to stop. This uses your device's built-in voice; the App never listens or records.
Privacy and safety
Does Digital Decks collect data about my child?
No. There are no accounts, no sign-in, no analytics, no ads and no tracking. Nothing is transmitted to us. There is no chat, no messaging and no way for anyone to contact your child through the App. Full details in the Privacy Policy.
Can my child accidentally leave the app or buy something?
The only outbound link is to a card marketplace, and it sits behind a parental gate — a maths question a young child is not expected to answer. There are no in-app purchases and no subscriptions.
Purchase and refunds
Is there a subscription?
No. Digital Decks is a single one-time purchase with no subscriptions and no in-app purchases.
How do I get a refund?
Refunds are handled entirely by Apple. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com and sign in with the Apple Account used for the purchase.
How do I restore it on another device?
Sign in to the same Apple Account and re-download Digital Decks from the App Store — there is no extra charge. Note that your collection does not transfer between devices, because it is stored only on the device where you built it.
