Terms of Service
Last updated: July 25, 2026
Welcome to Digital Decks. By downloading, installing, or using the Digital Decks application for iPhone and iPad ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
Please read Section 10 carefully. Prices shown in Digital Decks are rough estimates gathered from public listings. They are not appraisals, and they should never be relied upon for buying, selling, insuring, or valuing a collection.
1. What Digital Decks Is
Digital Decks is an unofficial, fan-made tool that lets you scan a Pokémon trading card with your device's camera, look up its set, rarity and approximate value, keep a digital list of the cards you own, and build decks from those cards with simple coaching tips. It is intended for children and families as a fun way to organise and learn about a card collection.
2. Not Affiliated with Nintendo or The Pokémon Company
Digital Decks is an independent, unofficial application. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, licensed by, or approved by Nintendo, Creatures Inc., GAME FREAK inc., The Pokémon Company International, or Wizards of the Coast.
Pokémon, Pokémon Trading Card Game, and all associated names, characters, and card artwork are trademarks and copyrighted works of their respective owners. Card names and images are shown through a third-party card database solely to help you identify cards you already own. All such rights remain with their owners.
3. Eligibility and Parental Consent
Digital Decks is designed to be used by children. If you are under 18, you may use the App only with the permission and supervision of a parent or legal guardian. By purchasing or installing the App on a device used by a child, the parent or guardian agrees to these Terms on that child's behalf and is responsible for supervising that use.
4. Purchase
Digital Decks is a one-time paid purchase through the Apple App Store. There are no subscriptions and no in-app purchases. All payments are handled by Apple and are subject to Apple's terms and refund policies. We do not process payments and cannot issue refunds directly — refund requests must be made to Apple.
5. Acceptable Use
By using Digital Decks, you agree to:
- Use the App for lawful, personal, non-commercial purposes only.
- Not attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or tamper with the App.
- Not use the App, or data obtained through it, to build a competing product or to redistribute card data or pricing in bulk.
- Supervise children's use of the App, including any decision to follow a link out of the App.
6. Card Scanning and Identification
The App identifies cards by reading the collector number printed on the card using on-device text recognition. Recognition is not guaranteed to be accurate. Worn, damaged, foil, promotional, or unusually printed cards may be misread or not recognised at all. The App always shows you the card it believes it found so that you can confirm it, and provides a way to go back and scan again or search manually. You are responsible for confirming that the identified card is correct.
7. Your Collection Data
Your collection, decks, and player profiles are stored only on your device. We do not back them up, and we cannot recover them. If you delete the App, erase your device, or lose your device, that information is gone permanently. Please see the Privacy Policy for details.
8. Deck Building
The deck builder assembles decks from cards you have told the App you own, following common Pokémon Trading Card Game deck-building conventions. It is a learning and organisation aid, not a rules authority. Decks it produces are not guaranteed to be legal for any official tournament, format, or rotation, and format legality changes over time. Always check current official rules before entering organised play. Coaching tips are simplified for young players.
9. Third-Party Data
Card information, artwork, and pricing are supplied by third-party services, including the Pokémon TCG API and public marketplace listings. We do not control this data, do not guarantee its accuracy, completeness or availability, and are not responsible for errors, omissions, or interruptions in it. Third-party services may change or become unavailable, which may reduce or disable parts of the App.
10. Prices Are Estimates, Not Appraisals
This is important, so it is stated plainly:
- "Ungraded" prices come from a third-party market data feed and reflect recent market activity for a printing, not the specific physical card you hold.
- Graded (PSA 10 / CGC 10) figures are drawn from current asking prices in public listings — what sellers are asking, not what cards have actually sold for. Asking prices typically run well above realised sale prices.
- Prices ignore condition, centring, authenticity, edition, and every other factor that determines what a real card is worth.
- Values change constantly and the figures shown may be out of date.
Digital Decks does not provide appraisals, valuations, or financial advice. Do not rely on it to buy, sell, trade, insure, or value a collection. Always consult a professional for anything that matters financially.
11. Links Out of the App
Digital Decks may offer a link to a third-party card marketplace. Such links are placed behind a parental gate. We do not control those websites, do not endorse them, and are not responsible for their content, safety, pricing, or practices. A parent or guardian is responsible for any purchase made after leaving the App.
12. Intellectual Property in the App
The Digital Decks application itself — its source code, design, interface, and branding — is the property of B2Gaudio. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes. This licence does not extend to any third-party trademarks or card artwork displayed within the App, which remain the property of their respective owners.
13. Disclaimer of Warranties
Digital Decks is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that card identification or pricing will be accurate.
14. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, B2Gaudio and its developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App — including misidentified cards, inaccurate prices, financial loss from a trade or sale, loss of collection data, or the unavailability of third-party services. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App.
15. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless B2Gaudio and its developer from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the App or your violation of these Terms.
16. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
17. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Kentucky and the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
